Student of the Year - 2018 Grand Finale
Join us on Saturday, March 31, 2018 when we celebrate and name our 2018 Students of the Year Winner! The Students of the Year Campaign is a seven-week initiative in which nominated High School students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Rhode Island Chapter. Candidates will raise money in honor of a teen patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. The candidate who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. The campaign will launch on February 8, 2018 and the amounts raised are TOP SECRET and will culminate with a Finale Reception on March 31, 2018 ath the beautiful Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island where the winner and the final amount will be announced. The Students of the Year will receive a scholarship to a college or university of his/her choice. In addition, one student will be awarded a Citizenship award for the Mission and will receive a scholarship and every candidate who reaches the minimum fundraising requirement of $10,000 will receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.
The evening begins at 6 pm with our Silent Auction and the event concludes at 10:30 pm.
