Jennifer

Jennifer was only 22 months old when she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was hit so hard and so fast that she almost didn't make it.  She spent most of the time cooped up at home or in the hospital.  While she was on chemo, she was very sick every two weeks. 
Jennifer is now in remission, after 26 months of treatment, and excited to be a freshman at Fenwick High School. She has been out of chemotherapy for 11 years now! In 2009, she even had her own fundraiser to celebrate this feat. 

She has a lot of energy and enjoys playing with her two dogs: Lab Casey and Huskie Mishka. She takes dance classes that include jazz, ballet, tap, acro and lyrical.  Jennifer aspires to be a writer when she grows up.

Jennifer has a positive attitude about her experience. She has come to realize what is important in life and not to take anything for granted. She advises other children or anyone else that is diagnosed with cancer, to pray every day and it will get better.
