When your school participates in the Student Series' Pennies for Patients Program, you'll receive all the supplies and materials that you need to have a meaningful and fun campaign! The following is a list of the supplies that LLS provides. Once registered, your LLS representative will discuss the materials with you and order them for you.
Classroom Collection Boxes: Assemble and place boxes in each classroom for coin collection. You may also put boxes in the Cafeteria, Main Office, Media Center, Teachers' Lounge, etc. Student
Collection Boxes: Boxes for each student to take home to collect change, or keep in their locker to collect change from lunch, etc. Tip: Pass these out a few weeks before your campaign and have a Day One Contest. On Day One, the top fundraiser in each class wins a prize.
Parent Letters: One letter per student is provided for elementary and middle schools to take home to their parents or guardian. This letter details the program and features our national Honored Hero. For a digital version of this letter, click here.
Hero Poster: This poster features our Honored Hero. Hang the poster in your school to put a face to your coin collection, and help your students to understand how their spare change can really count.
School Thermometer Chart: Hang in a prominent place and write in your school's goal. Color in the thermometer on a daily or weekly basis as donations come in so students can track their progress.
Classroom Thermometer Chart: Classroom chart for individual classes to track progress on the way to a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Pennant. Each classroom should receive a chart and a class collection box.
Student Series Poster: Colorful poster advertising Pennies for Patients. Display in the hallways or in the cafeteria to raise awareness of the campaign. Don't forget to write in your program dates.
Paper Icons: Provided to schools upon request. There are 50 paper icons in each pad. Sell these for $1-$5 and line your hallways with them!
Student Series Plastic Banners: A big banner of the Student Series logo to display to raise awareness.
Student Series Stickers: Available upon request. Let your students show off good deeds and proudly wear a Student Series sticker. These can be sold or used as a reward.

Student Series two-part DVD:
■ Making Change Video (K-12, 12 min). Learn what a difference your coins are making in the lives of our patients and how fun and easy it is to run the Student Series at your school.
■ Educate & Motivate (K-12, 10 min). Explains blood cancers, introduces two families who have battled leukemia, and follows students participating in the Student Series.
Why Charlie Brown, Why? (K-5, 30 min)
This video features Peanuts characters and a classmate’s journey with childhood leukemia. Great to show to classes in the media center!
