Pre Campaign Checklist

• Double check your school calendar to make sure that your program dates will not interfere with any other school fundraisers or activities like ISAT testing!
• Set a goal- school and youth staff can help you set an attainable goal.
• Schedule a Pennies Orientation session or in person meeting to discuss your fundraising plans
• If a student group will be assisting you in the campaign, we can schedule a meeting to discuss their role in the fundraiser and help them create plan to keep students engaged
• If a meeting does not fit into your schedule, develop a fundraising plan on your own to help maximize your goal. Contact LLS for ideas and resources.
• Schedule an assembly to help introduce the campaign to your students
• Create a plan to count and collect funds
• Discuss the campaign with teachers and encourage them to remind students to participate
• Be sure everyone knows about your online giving page. Share it on your school website, through email and on Facebook and Twitter!

Post Campaign Checklist

• Collect all your coins
• Deposit all of the coins collected using a local bank or Coinstar. *If you live near the border of another state please be sure to deposit the money to an Illinois Coinstar.
• Convert all paper money into a check or money order made payable to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
• Please be sure to photocopy all checks, Coinstar receipts for your records
• Review and complete your wrap up report in the coordinator’s kit. Pay close attention to any prizes and incentives your school may qualify for.
