Meet Eliana!
I am:
Ellie. 6 years old. From Mullica Hill, New Jersey.
I was:
diagnosed with pre-B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) last year. I had strep throat twice in a row, was extremely tired and lost my appetite. I also started to get stomach and elbow pain and had a recurring night time fever. After a few weeks of this, I was diagnosed with cancer. I am still undergoing treatment, but I am doing great!
But I am still me:
Ellie still goes to school when she can. She loves arts and crafts, playing outside and being with her friends. Ellie’s favorite foods have changed a lot since she began chemo, but Ellie LOVES pizza! When she grows up, she would like to be a scientist. Ellie loves to read and learn about diseases and how the body works. She also loves science experiments- the messier the better!
“Thank you for raising money for childhood cancer. Anybody can get cancer and it’s nobody’s fault if they do. Having cancer is awful, like when I have to go to the hospital. But it makes it better when my big sister visits and when there are kids in the playroom who are about my age” – Ellie
